Small Hip Bag Snow White

I've been wanting to make small sling bags in a half moon shape for awhile now.
I think they're super practical-just toss in a phone, wallet, keys and go.
Plus you can be hands free.

this fabric is by heather ross-snow white :)

I had some faux leather-vinyl-in dark chocolatey brown and decided to try stitching 2 narrow strips back to back to make a strap.
I didn't really think things through when making the bag, so the attachment of the strap was a little more difficult than I anticipated.

I like how it turned out though. Next time however, I'll think before I sew ;)

I stitched around Snow White, the scrolls and the dwarves' hats for a quilted effect

For the lining I used a golden yellow velvet I've had for some time but never dared to use ;)

you can see how small the bag is here~just right...

It'll be hard to part with this one, but alas, it must go to the shop soon~

I love smallish projects so I'm looking forward to making up some more half moon bags soon :)
