Yarn Cakes

I might've mentioned I received a yarn ball winder for Christmas.
I don't have a swift, but that has not stopped me. I have wound almost every ball, skein or other odd shaped mass of yarn I have hanging around in an attempt to organize my stash (read: basket loads of yarn). My goal is to eventually buy a glass front cabinet to store them in.

Stand back yarn, you are going to be wound if you're just lying around ;)

I just bought these yesterday~ along with some fabric I'll share tomorrow. I was totally fizzled out of inspiration, and everything I've attempted to make, has not turned out for one reason or another (finicky machine, a not thought out enough project...)

So a trip to the fabric and yarn stores were in order! Or, aka: instant gratification ;)
But I have some new ideas, I do :)
