New Bag Design & Fabric Won

I wanted to share these fat quarters I won from A verb for keeping warm.

 

Thanks Kristine! Sometimes there's nothing better than a mailbox full of some new fabrics to keep you busy when the day's otherwise been hectic and crazy :)

 I also wanted to show this new bag design I'm working on. 

I like this one a lot and think that since this is a sort of prototype, I'll be keeping it for me ;)

It reminds me of a bell. It was inspired by a pattern shape you'd make for a coin purse-you know the kind with the clasp? Except I didn't have any clasps on hand and I had to modify it a bit to fit a zipper and go around the curvy parts... It's bigger than a coin purse but smaller than most clutches I guess. You could use it as one though, or as a bag to go inside your bag.

Off to squeeze in an hour of making at least one more today...
