I couldn't wait to share the new bag-even though it was still a work in progress, in the drawing stage when I wrote the last post an hour or so ago (!)
The plan was to make a gathered bag -not too big or small, that looked like a 'clasp purse', only with a zipper.
I pressed the gathers flat- it looks more vintage to me that way~ not perfect & new. The big teal button is old too :)
I love this new Denyse Schmidt line. This cherry print reminds me of those mid century tablecloths ...

What a beautiful bag with a lovely 'retro' feel to it. The fabric is great, as is the button - one of my favourtie colours!
