I thought I'd share (a little of ) my button choosing process today.
I am very persnickety when it comes to picking out buttons for my projects.
I've just finished up this little pouch with some new, favorite Charley Harper fabric, and had a hard time picking a button for it so I took some photos.
Before searching, I first try and imagine what kind of button would be best. This is (sometimes) frustrating because I rarely find what I'm looking for exactly, but it does help narrow down which jars to start looking through! (I have a lot ,lol)
Goal: a mid century modern in orange. Of course I found one, but the wrong shade of orange, and apparently forgot to snap a picture of that one, darn ; )

Next up, some little blue buttons. These were o.k colorwise, but not very 'mid century modern'.
I decided to go with this orange one. It's very plain, but the color was perfect, and the clean line was a nice contrast to the trim, so it works for me : )
Voila!
