Let Your Art Guide You ...Week 8
Well I almost forgot it was Thursday. I don't recall when a school vacation started on a Thursday, so in my mind it's been Saturday all day.
When I sat down to read some of my favorite blogs, there was Emily's weekly challenge!
And I had planned on what I would share all week too(!)
So I just grabbed a camera and took some pretty (lousy, lol) photos of what I worked on this past week.
First up- I have been wanting to make these sling bags with a zipper. Unfortunately I'm still on that quest to either invent a zipper that bends in at least 2~ 3 directions without puckers and weirdness -or find the perfect way to install it (I think it's a lost cause). All of my 'research' and basically there are only so many ways to install one- I just don't really like any of them for one reason or another...
So here is the Smallish Sling-with a zipper partially ripped out- I do like the idea of one-just not so much how they look.
I'm working on it.
Next up- I freehand drew a bird applique pattern and appliqued a bag that was pre~made from the Paper Source (another place I miss living close to :(
This one is technically a work in progress-I think it needs some trim and maybe an inside pocket, and buttons. What do you think?
