New ideas

I've been working on a few new ideas over the past few days.
This one actually sprung from this post. Remember? Tea cup+Scrapbook Supplies =?

Well, I went on a scavenger hunt for the perfect fabrics-you know, the ones I had in my imagination? Of course I couldn't find them :0


I often get ideas for fabrics, patterns, shoes and clothes & set out to find them, only to discover, they usually don't exist. Wrong print, color, shape, design.....
I think this means something like: time to start designing my own. (lol, sort of).
I've been wanting to design fabric (and coordinating patterns) for awhile now....I'll save the shoes and clothes for later on.

Anyhow~I settled for and came up with this combination of supplies I found+ things I had on hand:

Inspiration: Lettering, ruler ribbon, d rings...and.... the colors.

The colors on this cozy are fine, however the ones I really wanted to use, I could not find in the fabric stores.
French Strawberry ice cream pink, creamy white, and what is that shade of blue called anyway?

When I left the scrapbook store I had an idea to make a cup cozy in the same colors, secured with the ribbon and d rings. I don't know how practical that is but it works to make the size of the cozy bigger for the iced tea and smaller for the coffee cup. I'll need to work on it a little more. I stitched the ribbon to a sea green piece of gros grain ribbon to make it a little sturdier.
We'll call it a work in progress : )
