I 've spent the entire day working on this(!)
The inspiration was based on -
a need for a small bag-
a sling type bag -
and my scrappy collage pouches and totes I've made in the past. You can see lots of them here.
Anyway, I think this one turned out pretty nice. It's very rustic as you can see in the detailed photos.

I have some more fabric with these birds. I know you've seen them quite a bit but they seem to be pretty popular ; )
I really enjoyed putting this one together. It took me awhile to get the zipper and strap just right. One end is on the front of the bag, and the other end is on the back. It was a little tricky.
I can't wait to make more of these...sans bird next time I think : )
This one's in the shop now. I've also readjusted (lowered) my shipping for international orders on my totes!
