I Guess I Shouldn't Assume

This morning I spied my daughter over in the dark corner of the living room, bent over and deeply interested in whatever she held in her hands.

At first I thought she must be texting and then realizing it was a bit too early to be texting her friends on the west coast, I asked : who are you texting this early?
Then she held up what was in her hands...

Sorry in advance for the dark grainy photo-just pretend I overdosed on the 'film grain' technique over at picnik, lol ; )

Oops, she was crocheting. I guess I shouldn't have assumed she was texting.

We have been working on some projects for Christmas (I'll share when done~if they turn out as planned).
She just thought she'd get a few rows in before school : )
Like Mother like Daughter?

Hers is the blue one in the middle

For some reason I have gotten on a crochet kick lately.
I used to make crocheted rugs with my Mom when I a teenager...but I got into knitting more later on.
This season, as I started knitting project after project for gifts, they just became WIPS, and I have quite a few WIPS laying around. So out came the crochet hooks....

I seem to be a bit quicker with the hooks ; )

Have you rediscovered any hobbies lately?
Happy Monday : )
Andrea

What a lovely story Andrea. I love to hand stitch/embroidery. I'm a beginner, but I think I would also love to learn to knit or crochet one day!
