When I come up with a new pattern I like~ I tend to get carried away making them. This one's been no exception.
I have so much fun choosing unusual prints. This Asian inspired one has been a favorite in my collection for a long time. It's very finely woven and soft.
I paired it with a creamsicle color combo of polka dots (by Fig Tree Quilts)
and a big blue vintage button and lacy trim.
My 2nd favorite part of making these bags?
Smashing down those gathers with the iron!!
I'm sure that's a big no-no in the sewing world but I like how they look this way. It makes the bag feel like a favorite vintage piece :)
P.S~ have you heard picnik is closing ? I used some of the premium features ~which are free 'til they close~ on a few of these photos here today. I'm not sure how I'll edit my pics in the future~ maybe try and finally learn my photoshop elements! ;)

Gotta tell you, Andrea, your fabric choices on this bag just blew me AWAY! I would not have thought to use the large Japanese print in that way -- and now I am going to go right to the Asian fabric the next time I am in my workroom. It is a knockout! Congrats!
I'm loving these pouches/clutches, every one of them is cuter and cooler than the one before it.
i'm the same way =) i'll go mad with a design untill i get bored of it!
love the textures you've used from Picnik (^_^) i was so sad when i got the email, but i guess it's groovy that we get to use the pro features =)
I took advantage of them too & gave my blog a clean up =)
