Happy Valentine's Day . Nostalgic

I was hoping today would be a snow day here.
I'm not in love with driving in the snow.

I made these cards yesterday very quickly, at the very last minute.
They were a thought for weeks. And then I procrastinated.

Then I somehow got lost on flickr looking at old Los Angeles architectural photos.
And 'google mapping' what the places look like now. (L.A has a lot of great buildings, especially art deco style-one of my favorites.)
I love looking at city/ building/street before and after photos. Do you? I spent a few hours :0
I spent my first ten years in L.A, and I get very nostalgic sometimes~ especially when it's cold out(!)

I like warm weather-even though I spent the next bunch of years in France. I never got used to(read:liked )cold weather...
Anyway when dinnertime rolled around I decided it was now or never for those cards. I kept it simple.
Martha Stewart heart shaped punch, some pretty scrapbook papers and my sewing machine.

I like them even though they took no time at all ;)

Also wanted to share a felt rose my daughter made for grandma:
Happy Valentine's Day :)

Happy Valentine's Day! What adorable valentines. I too had the best intentions to make a bunch of hand crafted valentines weeks ago. I finally got to it on Saturday afternoon - just in time to get them in the mail before it was too late for them to arrive to family and friends. Love those Martha punches and that sweet rose your daughter made. She's got your mad skills, obviously! xo
