I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Ours was spent pretty quietly with family and friends~my favorite way. We finally hosted Christmas in our very own home for the first time so that was neat...
This month has gone by so fast~I seem to say that a lot. It's true, time flies.
I had good intentions to write frequently and post projects and tutorials but alas it wasn't meant to be.
I try to make this blog a happy place for guests and myself, so I tend to write about positive happy things, but , I've been pretty blue since we've moved and it's hard for me to get up any motivation or creative inspiration when I feel that way. This just doesn't really(yet?) feel like home to me and there have been some unexpected issues to make me a little stressed so, I haven't been as crafty as I would've hoped and wished.
moving on.... happy thoughts....
To keep me motivated, I have jotted down a few resolutions for the new year.
#1 in the crafty field is... improving my whole shop/blog/ business.
One of our reasons for moving was so I could have room to work and really get these creative projects going.
My plan this week is to get started working on the space that is to be my studio so I can really get to work with my resolution. Husband is at Home Depot now buying primer as I write, so we're off to a start......and I'll hopefully get to Ikea for some shelving units today or this week. Just need drywall and flooring and...where's that list?
Anyway, please enjoy December in photos....
Snowball fights were had...
I told M not to get wet (yeah, right Mom)before we went out so she made snow angels~note soaked coat
Cookies were made...
pinwheel cookies ..and many more
mint flavored candy cane cookies
mint flavored candy cane cookies
Coco read a 'good' book...

This is a project I actually finished a few Valentine's Day's back prior to having an etsy shop or a blog. I love how it turned out and never got around to making more and thought they'd be great to add to the shop this coming year...I'm starting now so they might get finished in time~lol... here is a sneak preview...
Have a Happy New Year!~ Do you have any 'creative' resolutions?
Projects were left unfinished... :(

Sorry to hear you've been feeling a little blue, but I also feel ya on wanting to start afresh for the new year. That is my plan as well. I hope you start settling in and get inspired! cant wait to see what you create in the coming year~
hi andrea:) i want you to know how MUCH i can relate to how you feel. we have lived in 3 different states in the past 4 1/2 years. and we will be moving to another one in the near future. sigh. it is sooo hard to start all over. it's kind of fun in some ways...but mostly hard in most ways:) time is the only fix. slowly but surely everything starts to click and your new surroundings begin to become "home". hang in there:):):) wishing you a happy, healthy and creative new year!!! xox...jenn
I love your photography.. do you edit the photos to make the edges rounded or is that how Blogger shows them? (I use Wordpress) This is notcrap from Etsy, btw :)
