Let Your Art Guide You Week 12

A new bag of my own design was (just about) finished this week. It only needs a little top stitching and a button ; )
No, I won't make you choose a button this week,lol... I might need some help with a name though. I'm struggling with naming this one. If you have any ideas I'd love to hear them : )

The adjustable 'slide' and the lace are vintage

I'm seriously surprised I've gotten anything done this week at all...my Mom had double knee replacement a few days ago (she's doing fine), and we're pet sitting (in our home). What with all of the regular daily routine plus twice daily hospital visits and more puppies to watch, I'm running out of time to craft.
This bag's one of my favorite latest projects. It's a smaller sized messenger style bag, about 10x9 inches. I think it's just the perfect size for everyday use.

I really like the smaller sized magnets-and their color...and the fusible batting.
I have a love~ hate relationship with fusible batting. Sometimes it works out well-and I think this is one of those times. I've been using it in some of my smaller pouches too.
Like this one:

I made a squared off rounded shape (does that exist?) and was planning on making a gusset but it wasn't cooperating so I just made rounded off corners with a flatter bottom. I think it turned out pretty nice. The bottom is linen, and the lace is vintage-so's the button!

I've since taken off the turquoise seam binding- I think it looks good on, but I can't make it look good in photos. What do you think? Keep it or ditch it?

It's in the shop now : )

Happy Crafting : )

It is so sweet! It brings to my mind things that are dainty, tea, Jane Austen, days of chivalry and charm...
I think I would call it a Dainty Messenger.

-Dainty messenger bag sounds nice!
I'll have to see what buttons I can come up with for a choice...maybe I'll post it on the Button Floozie site?!
