Dumpling Pouch

My daughter gave me a special order request for a:

• 'dumpling pouch' made from 
• a sturdier fabric with an tapestry or rug, vibe.(something like the rugs in Hollister)

We were able to find this fabric in the upholstery section-not something that would be my normal dream fabric on such a small project incorporating zippers...However for my first try of this pattern, I think it turned out pretty nice!

I only had to buy 1/3 of a yard and I think I probably could have gotten away with a 1/4. Maybe the nice lady just cut generously?

In any case I have enough to make more because of course, upholstery fabric is very wide(and this pouch is very small as you can see by the acorns ; )

So expect at least one more, more or less like this one, in the shop very soon. Would you like one?

What do you think about the print? I know it's not my usual style, but I think it helps spark some new ideas and creativity to use something you normally wouldn't. And I think I like it
